Walton Refrigerator Women’s rugby: Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union last week announced details of the Walton Refrigerator college-level women’s rugby tournament with 15 teams involved.

According to a post on the Union’s Facebook page, they said the competition will be under the management of the BRFU and fifteen Under 20 ladies rugby teams will be competing in 2019. The tournament is set to run from the 3rd to the 5th November.

Which teams are playing?
The teams confirmed by the Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union were:
- Dhaka Imperial College
- Central Women’s college
- Narayanganj College
- Home Economics College
- Dhaka Commerce College
- Poet Nazrul Government College
- Ali Ahmed school and College
- Central Women’s College Hostel
- RK Chowdhury University College
The teams will be split into four pools and the winners of each pool will proceed semifinals and then the final of the rugby competition.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Don) said: “We have relations with Bangladesh Rugby Federation Union for a long time. Before that, we have been involved in the various competition of rugby. Doing college women rugby competition regularly. We were with the previous four years. I have been involved in the tournament for the fifth time. Hoping that some good female rugby players will come up through this competition. Those who will enrich our national women rugby team. Like other competitions, the champions and runners-up team will be encouraged by home appliances on behalf of Walton group. Every team will be given the jersey. I wish you all the success of this competition.”*
