TRC 2020 Tournament cancelled
The Tanglin Rugby Club (TRC) 2020 Tournament has been cancelled, it was confirmed this week, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The organisers said “Unfortunately we won’t be hosting this year tournament in response to continued health concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and wellbeing of the rugby community and the wider public is our highest priority. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
We had announced the registration earlier this year and the 15s tournament in Singapore was due to be held from the 25-27th September 2020.
The TRC tournament was due to include the following age groups:
- U11
- U12
- U13
- U14
- U15
- U17
Touch Singapore cancels 2020 National Touch League
Earlier in September, the TSG (Touch Singapore) had also said the National Touch League will not be held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 situation.
The organisation said “We will continue to monitor the situation and remain flexible to deliver any small scale competition if possible based on our resources and within government guidelines. We share everyone’s hope that we can get back to our full-scale NTL in 2021.”
