Men’s Teams – Tradition HKFC 10s 2024
Men’s defending champions Tradition YCAC will return as favourites in 2024 after they beat Samurai RFC Warriors (Now Shogun Rugby Men) in the 2023 final.
Simon Ryan, Head Coach of YCAC, said “We eagerly anticipate our return to the Tradition HKFC 10s next month. Securing the Cup last year marked a significant milestone for us, especially after reaching the finals numerous times but just falling short of victory. This triumph has only fuelled our determination to defend our title. Both our players and staff are looking forward to experiencing everything the tournament has to offer once again.”
Shogun Rugby Men “bring a wealth of talent and experience to the field,” said the tournament organisers” and will look to avenge the final defeat and improve upon the runners-up tag from 2023.
Ashbury Tropics boast a star-studded line-up in 2024 that includes Fijian-Australian ex-international, Nemani Nadolo. The side is managed by English Rugby World Cup and Olympics representative, Heather Fisher.
Perennial contenders include the Overseas Old Boys, who in their squad in 2024 can count on New Zealand professional rugby union player Lachlan Munro and Fijian talent Josefa Seutobo.
The China National Team, the China Five Stars will also be returning, as well as Hong Kong hosts, HKFC Natixis Club; and tournament veterans Taikoo Place Scottish Exiles.
