Touch Rugby continues to rise in popularity and 2024 is a big one for the sport, with the Touch World Cup 2024 being held in the UK.
Several Asian touch associations are developing the game socially and to foster pathways to national team representation and many social and formal rugby clubs have touch rugby teams – so here is our look at the best 2024 touch tournaments in Asia.

Touch Rugby – Manila 10s 2024

Hong Kong International Touch Championship 2024
You can read up on all you need to know in our interview with Hong Kong China Touch, but this tournament takes place in the build-up to the 2024 HK Sevens Week.
The organisers told us: “We hope this tournament, like how the 10s tournaments lead into the annual Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, will become one of the features for the rugby community to look forward to as part of the 7s week.”

Singapore Touch Cup (STC) 2024
Touch Singapore (TSG) is looking to hold its Singapore Touch Cup 2024 in Malaysia (yes you read that right) from April 13th – 14th in Johor Bahru.
This will be the first time they try and organise a tournament overseas and there are planned to be Women’s and Men’s Open Divisions.

CRFA National Touch Championship 2024

Luke Walley Touch Tournament
The Luke Walley Touch tournament will be hosted alongside the Indochina Contact tournament in Phnom Penh on May 25th 2024. There is Mixed Touch available to interested touch teams.
The Phnom Penh Social Rugby Club are hosts and registration is open to teams until the first week of May.

Saigon Geckos – Jon Ellwood Touch Rugby Tournament 2024
The social rugby club is hosting a touch tournament with the following rules:
Teams of 10 will compete in 6 vs 6 games, there must always be at least 1 woman/girl on the field when playing. Each team must provide a referee.

Hanoi Dragons – Chris Eckles Loves Touch Tournament 2024
The Hanoi Dragons Rugby Club are hosting a mixed social touch tournament in celebration of Halloween on 26 October 2024. The social tournament is open to teams with a maximum of ten players which must include at least 2 female or junior players on the field at all times. Individual players looking for a team are also welcome.

Singapore Rugby Union 3V2 Tag Rugby Carnival 2024 – POSTPONED
The SRU 3V2 Tag Rugby Carnival will take place on Saturday, 2nd November 2024 with an U21 and Open category. The SRU said at the time, “Register a group of 5 for a fun-filled day of rugby with cash prizes up for grabs!”

SCC 7s Corporate Touch Tournament 2024
The SCC 7s Corporate Touch Tournament 2024 will take place as part of the 75th edition of the SCC 7s tournament in Singapore with the Corporate Touch played on 8 November.
A minimum of six players is required, and a maximum of 14 & teams are required to play with a mixed team, meaning a minimum of two women must be on the field at all times during gameplay.
Teams can register here – Included in the price are free tickets to the SCC International Rugby Sevens Tournament.

Bangkok Touch Tournament 2024
The Bangkok Touch Tournament 2024 will take place from 9-10 November 2024 and is open to 3 categories Mixed, Womens and Men’s.
The touch tournament is organised by Touch Rugby Bangkok.

Tanglin Rugby Club has posted a provisional date of 23-24 November for the TRC Touch Tournament 2024 which is due to be held at the Marlborough Club.
