South Sea Sharks XV host Seoul Survivors RFC
Some more rugby action confirmed in Korea, as the South Sea Sharks XV (a combination of the Busan Bandits and the Ulsan Goblins) will host the Seoul Survivors RFC for a game on Saturday 25th July 2020.
Korea has done a comparatively great job during COVID-19 and the social clubs in Korea have been back at training for the past month, following the government-mandated COVID-19 prevention protocols.
Their regular KERA season has been delayed by the pandemic, however, but there are hopes the competition can take place from September – November 2020 to determine the Joe Day Cup.
South Sea Sharks XV vs Seoul Survivors RFC
This weekends rugby fixture is a stand-alone 15 a side match, which will consist of 4 x 20 minute quarters due to the summer heat in Korea.
Kick-off is at 1 pm, and the game will take place at Baeg-Un-Po Sports Park in Busan. Spectators are welcome provided they’ve been observing the government-mandated COVID-19 prevention protocols.
All players, coaching staff, and match officials will have their temperature checked and fill in contact tracing questionnaires pre-match.
The clubs have also played a South Sea Cup match in June which was won by Ulsan Goblins. The Seoul Survivors will be playing their first match in 2020.
