SINGAPORE TO TOKYO: CYCLE TO THE 2019 RUGBY WORLD CUP
Rugby Lovers Guide to Asia (RLG) has recently confirmed its taking part in a charity bicycle ride – fundraiser ride leading up to the Rugby World Cup 2019 titled “SINGAPORE TO TOKYO: CYCLE TO THE 20I9 RUGBY WORLD CUP”.
The ride will take place from August to September and RLG will be joined by Gift Rugby Network (US) as well as a film crew and volunteers. According to RLG:
“the campaign is designed to bring worldwide exposure to the Rugby Communities of South East Asia. The ride will wind its way through Singapore, Malaysia, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Japan, where the ride will be highlighting the work of Rugby based charities such as the Little Dragons (Burma), Nak Suu Academy (Thailand) and Kampuchea Ballop (Cambodia).”
The ride will finish at the Australia v Wales pool game in Tokyo on the 29th September. They will hope to convert the cycle into a four-part documentary series.
This is the 2nd charitable cycle ride RugbyAsia247 is aware of leading up to the Rugby World Cup in Japan, with the Race To Rugby World Cup having kicked off a few weeks ago, embarking from London to Tokyo to raise awareness for the ChildFund Pass It Back program.
