Singapore Rugby: Mega training and education weekend

Asia Rugby has reported that Singapore Rugby Union held a (fantastically named) Mega training and education weekend from 8th-10th March 2019.

The weekend of training was run by Singapore Rugby Union, World Rugby and Asia Rugby at the National Youth Institute of Sport and Singapore Sports Institute with the aim of training 21 rugby educators for an intensive 2 day World Rugby Educator course.

The group of trainees came from South East Asia (15) and 6 provisional Trainers from across Asia. The weekend focused on the following key areas:

• Coaching
• Match Officiating
• Strength & Conditioning
• Medical
• Match Commissioner

On the 3rd day, additional trainees were invited to attend, with 50 participants involved in Coaching, Match Officiating, Strength & Conditioning, and Medical workshops.
