Singapore Men’s Rugby National League 2019-2020

The Singapore Men’s Rugby XVs National League 2019-2020 kicks off on Saturday 16th November and will see ten rugby teams involved in the top division.

Simon Mannix was recently appointed the new Head Coach of all the Singapore national rugby teams and will be keen to look at the local talent to develop the national rugby teams in Singapore.

Which teams play the Singapore Rugby Men’s National League?

There are ten teams in the top league of rugby union in Singapore representing 6 Singapore based rugby clubs. Although the SRU website has yet to update the teams and fixtures they are available on Macoocoo.

2018-2019 Champions

The current title holders are the Wanderers Prems who beat the Bucks 1st XV in the Cup final in March 2019. The Wanderers RFC picked up 3 of the men’s 4 titles last season.

Men’s Development League 2019-2020

There are 6 rugby union teams in the Singapore Rugby Union Men’s Development League this season.

2019-2020 season SRU Men’s leagues

The regular season will run from the 16th November 2019 until the 22nd February 2020 for both leagues in Singapore.

In the Men’s National League, all ten teams will play 9 games in total, so there is not a home an away league system in place. Last season a playoff series for the Bowl, Shield, Plate and Cup were contested. It’s not clear if this is in place this season.
