The Singapore Cricket Club International Rugby 7s is organised by the Singapore Cricket Club and the tournament is one of the oldest invitational team sports events in Asia, said the organisers. The SCC7s is also the second oldest international Rugby 7s tournament in the world, only behind the Melrose sevens in Scotland where the format was borne.
The Padang was recognised as a national monument on the nation’s National Day earlier this year.

The 2022 SCC 7s will feature teams from New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, Papua New Guinea and Singapore who will challenge for the Abilitt Cup.

We tried reaching out to the organiser’s several times to get more information but have not received anything – we don’t know if there is any youth or touch rugby as in previous years, or what the pools are yet (or if this is the final team list). If we get more info we will update this article.
