SCC Rugby Sevens 2020

The SCC (Singapore Cricket Club) Rugby Sevens 2020 dates have been confirmed. The popular high-level rugby sevens tournament will take place from 31st October & 1st November 2020.

SCC Rugby Sevens 2020

This is the 73rd SCC International Rugby 7s and it is Asia’s oldest 7s rugby tournament.  Team invitations are now open for the rugby tournament which has attracted some of the best rugby clubs in the world.

The rugby festival actually includes four sections:

• The SCC Rugby Academy tournament

• The SCC Sevens Corporate Touch Challenge

• The Schools and Colleges tournament

• The main International SCC 7s

2019 SCC 7s

The 2019 SCC 7s included 12 teams and the tournament was played the same weekend as several other high-profile rugby tournaments n the region.

The rescheduling was also due to the RWC 2019 held in Japan.

A memorial rugby 10s tournament had also been held for the Nicholson Family members who were lost in the tragic easter bombings in Sri Lanka.

2019 Results SCC 7s

Daveta defended the crown they had won in 2018 and beat Ponsonby Rugby in the Cup final in 2019 19-17 to claim the Ablitt Cup.
