However, the Race To Rugby World Cup has been ongoing for several months, starting in London, and is organised in conjunction with the Rugby World Cup 2019. This ride will end in Tokyo as the pair of riders, Ron Rutland and James Owens, are carrying the whistle to be used in the opening game on September 20th between Japan and Russia. The ride is also raising awareness for the ChildFund Pass It Back program.
The Race to RWC 2019 Fundraising Gala Dinner in Hong Kong is taking place on the 23rd August 2019 and is set to include high profile sports stars.
