It’s nearing crunch time in New Zealand as the final 8 teams have been confirmed for the RWC 2021 quarterfinals.
RWC 2021 Quarterfinals
The quarter-final line-up sees the four matchups take place this coming weekend on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of October. The winners move ono the semi-finals on Saturday, 5 November at Eden Park while the losing teams will be eliminated from the RWC 2021 tournament.
The Rugby World Cup 2021 tournament format sees the top seeds play the eighth in the quarter-finals, the second seeds face the seventh, third play sixth and fourth meet fifth.
The only Asian representation, Japan, bowed out of the World Cup on Sunday after losing their final pool match versus Italy.
Saturday, 29 October at Northland Events Centre in Whangārei
This past Saturday’s triple-header of RWC 2021 matches saw 16, 571 fans attend the Northland Events Centre – this is the largest attendance at a sports event at the venue since the British and Irish Lions tour in 2017.
