Race to RWC 2019 Fundraising Gala Dinner: Hong Kong
DHL and ChildFund Pass It Back have announced a Race to RWC 2019 Fundraising Gala Dinner with Geraint Thomas, Sir John Kirwan & Denis Irwin set to take place at Kerry Hotel in Hong Kong on Friday 23rd August 2019.
What is Race to RWC 2019?
The Race to RWC has seen duo Ron Rutland and James Owens embark on a cycling trek of 20,093 km across Europe and Asia, from London to Tokyo, over the duration of 231 days. They will arrive in time in Japan for the Rugby World Cup 2019 and raise money and awareness for ChildFund Pass It Back, the official charity of Rugby World Cup 2019 and the tournament’s Official Logistics Partner DHL, to promote the game of rugby.
Who will attend the Race to RWC 2019 Fundraising Gala Dinner?
The Gala dinner will include Geraint Thomas, a Welsh professional racing cyclist, who has won three World Championships, two Olympic gold medals and is the 2018 Tour de France winner. He will be joined by Sir John Kirwan, a well-known New Zealand rugby union coach and former player who is also a regular media rugby commentator as well as former Manchester United player who was capped by the Republic of Ireland team 56 times.
Ron Rutland and James Owens will be passing through Hong Kong at the time of the event and will involved with the fundraising gala dinner.
