One Year Until Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 Kicks Off
There is exactly one year to go until the Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 kicks off in Sunderland, with ticket details confirmed. This is expected to be the biggest Women’s RWC yet – certainly in terms of participating teams, but fan attendance too.
World Rugby also wants this to be the most accessible celebration of women’s rugby ever, and said, “Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 celebrates powerful personalities, unstoppable athletes and growth of women’s sport, as the tournament reaches one year to go milestone.”
This will be the 10th edition of the tournament and will host the world’s best 16 teams, with 10 teams having already secured qualification. There are six places remaining, which will be determined in the WXV 2024 – the top six ranked non-qualified teams at the end of the tournament will qualify for Women’s RWC 2025.
Japan Sakura XV have qualified from Asia, and Hong Kong China has a chance in WXV3 2024.
