Manila 10s 2024 – Teams & Pools Confirmed

The Manila 10s 2024 has confirmed the teams and pools for the biggest Philippines social rugby tournament which is being held from 16-17 March 2023 at the Alabang Country Club in Metro Manila.

There are women’s, men’s, and vets tens rugby divisions at the popular tens rugby tournament which is taking place for the 33rd year – with 25 teams in total set to compete in 2024.

Manila 10s 2024 – Pools

Men’s Pools – Manila 10s 2024

There are 16 teams in the Men’s Division and pool games will be 12 minutes long with one-way play with no half-time. This format changes as the tournament moves into the semifinal stages.

Women – Manila 10s 2024

Manila 10s 2024 will feature six Women’s Division teams and all pool matches will be 12 minutes long with one-way play with no half-time. Playoff matches will be 6 minutes each way, and the Final will have 7-minute halves.

Vets – Manila 10s 2024

Three Vets teams will be competing in 2024 with the same pool match format as the other divisions but the Final will have 7-minute halves.

(Editors note – we have never understood why so many Asian social rugby tournaments increase the length of matches come finals time, this is when bodies are already fatigued and teams are often short on players so it would seem to go against the aspects of player welfare that has been so prominent).
