Malaysia Rugby Appoint New Men’s 7s Head Coach
Malaysia Rugby this week announced that Ahmad Fadzlee bin Ahmad Idriss will be the new Men’s 7s Rugby Head Coach.
Posting online, the Malaysia Rugby union said that Fadzlee has a Master’s Degree in Sports Coaching, and is a certified Sports Psychologist, holding an A License from the National Coaching Academy, National Sports Institute. He is also currently pursuing a PhD in Sports Science from the National Defence University of Malaysia.
Fadzlee started his rugby career as a national player in 2003 and since then has been involved in managing and coaching the team.
Last week the union also confirmed the squad roster for the Bunga Raya Men (Malaysia) 7’s lineup for 2023 – with the Asia Rugby Sevens Series and potentially the Asian Games lined up this year, as well as the SEA 7s 2023.
The SEA 7s takes place from 7-8th April in Singapore and will be the new Malaysia 7s rugby coach’s first tournament in charge.
