The Laos Rugby Federation (LRF) launches the Lao Super League 2019 this weekend in Vientiane, with U19 men and senior women’s rugby teams set to compete.
DAC Lao League 2019
The Lao Super League 2019 (a rugby union league), is also called the DAC Lao League, is an XVs rugby tournament. The LRF is involved in a number of grassroots rugby development programs and spearheads the ChildFund Pass It Back program.
The LRF facebook also mentioned the support of sponsors to assist some of the rugby teams based in rural areas of Laos (Xieng Khouang) and the Vientiane rugby club teams.
Rugby for Life Camp
The LRF will host the 100 World Legends Rugby for Life Camp this July. Former rugby internationals will be in Laos to mentor in the Rugby for Life camp which aims to provide players from rural Laos with an opportunity to learn to play contact rugby safely.
YSEALI Laos-Vietnam Friendship Cup 2019
Lao Rugby has a busy weekend as it is also in partnership with ChildFund Pass It Back and YSEALI, organised another rugby tournament between recently graduated players from the Pass It Back programme in Laos and Vietnam.
