The fully-named Langkawi Unesco Global Geopark International Rugby 10s 2020 has been announced and will be an international boys rugby tournament.
What is the Langkawi International Rugby 10s 2020?
On a statement on the Facebook page for the event, it said “Langkawi Tourism Association and Mahsuri Event proudly present an International Boys U15 and U17 Invitational Rugby 10s Championship to be held in the legendary tropical archipelago of Langkawi UNESCO Geopark”
Who will play at the Langkawi International Rugby tens 2020?
The organisers are hoping to attract many international and regional teams to the new tens rugby tournament. They are said to be chasing participation from:
- Qatar
- Malaysia
- Japan
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Vietnam
- Indonesia
- Philippines
- Vietnam
- New Zealand
- Australia
- Sri Lanka
The same organisers have also announced international touch rugby and 7s rugby tournament will be held later in 2020 at the same venue. We will bring you more on those at a later date.
