Khelo India University Games Rugby 7s 2020
The first Khelo India University Games are being held in Bhubaneswar, India with women’s and men’s rugby 7s teams in action from 26-28 February 2020.
What are the Khelo India University Games?
The Khelo India University Games sees 4000 athletes from 100 Universities across India compete in 17 different sports which include archery, athletics, boxing, fencing, judo, swimming, weightlifting, wrestling, badminton, basketball, football, hockey, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, kabaddi and rugby.
In 2018 the Khelo India School Games were held with great success.
Odisha State Government will host the event from 22 February 2020 to 1 March 2020 at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Bhubaneswar. The Khelo India University Games are held in association with Sports Authority of India, Association of Indian Universities, KIIT University as the host university, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the National Sports Federation (NSFs).

According to the Rugby India FB page, there are 16 teams in total, eight each for the men and women. The Facebook page is also posting updates of the match results.
