With the completion of the USA leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens in Las Vegas, which the United Stated won to top the overall leader board, we look at how the sole Asian representation, Japan, is doing.

Lying in 15th place (on 12 points), Japan 7s only managed 1 win and 4 losses over the weekend in Vegas. Their placing on the overall log is the relegation spot and with the Olympics in 2020 in Japan, JRFU has some serious work to do to have a competitive team in place. They have finished bottom in 3 of the 5 tournaments in the HSBC World 7s Series in 2019.
