HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens 2023 Tickets On Sale
The public sales of tickets for the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens 2023 went on sale this week for the Men’s HSBC World Rugby Sevens event which has confirmed that Hong Kong is the invitational team.
Updated 3 April 2023
The Singapore National Stadium will again be the venue for the Singapore Sevens from 8-9 April 2023 as the men’s teams compete for valuable World Series ranking points to avoid relegation and vie for an Olympic qualification spot.
The Singapore leg is the ninth of eleven tournaments in the Men’s HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2022/2023 season.
The Los Angeles, Vancouver and Hong Kong Sevens all still are to take place before the event in Singapore so the standings could look very different come April 2023.
The event is also again dubbed the “Family Sevens”, and will feature “family-friendly games, live performances and fun-filled activities with popular cartoon characters, as well as other activities.
As the weekend falls at the same time as Easter there will be an Easter hunt for rugby ball-shaped eggs.

SEA 7s – Singapore 2023
Singapore Rugby Union has been organising the SEA 7s to be hosted in Singapore from 7-9 April 2023 (the same time as the HSBC Singapore Sevens 2023) with only national and development teams from Southeast Asia involved.
One of the reasons for the tournament is that it would have been yet another year without the SEA Games featuring rugby sevens. The event takes place in Cambodia in 2023 but rugby is not included, the sport also did not appear at the previous SEA Games hosted by Vietnam.
Thankfully with Thailand (2025), Malaysia (2027) and Singapore (2029) confirmed as future hosts of the upcoming SEA Games, rugby 7s (and essential funding for the sport) shouldn’t be an issue.
Group matches and semi-finals take place on 7th April (9am-6pm) at Jurong West Stadium, followed by the finals on 8th April at the Sports Hub.
