How to watch United Rugby Championship in Asia
The newly formed URC, which kicks off in September 2021, has announced its own streaming platform which allows fans to watch the United Rugby Championship in Asia.
The new rugby union championship replaces the PRO 14 and includes four South African teams. The URC was confirmed in July 2021 and promises to be bigger, bolder and stronger than its predecessors.
In time for the new season which starts on September 24, 2o21, the organisers have announced they have partnered “with RTÉ to launch a new global streaming service offering the opportunity to watch games live and on-demand.”
What is URC TV?
URC TV will offer a range of subscription packages it was confirmed by the United Rugby Championship.
These include:
- Season Pass (all games) USD $139.99
- Weekend Passes (all games within a round) USD $24.99
- Individual Game Passes
This is available for fans based in Ireland, Europe (excluding UK and Italy), North America, South America, Asia and Australasia.
In addition to the games, URC TV will provide “free service showing a range of highlights, archive matches and snackable videos. You can register for free to access this content.
Matches will be broadcast in HD with English commentary and the URC TV can be accessed across multiple devices. Currently, URC TV is only accessible via a website but an app is in the works. The streaming is compatible with Google Chromecast and Apple TVs for streaming games.
