Hong Kong Premiership rugby results
The ladies and men’s HKRFU premiership rugby leagues are coming to a close next weekend before the playoffs decide the 2019 Premiership title winners.
Women’s KPMG Premiership
In the women’s KPMG Premiership, Gai Wu Falcons and Societe Generale Valley look set to compete for the title and will face each other this coming Saturday in the title decider. Both sides secured wins in the penultimate round with Valley remaining unbeaten all season and amassing 22 points on the league table. Gai Wu sit right behind them on 19 points.
Women’s KPMG Premiership A
In the second tier championship, SCAA First Pacific Causeway Bay’s managed a big 44-5 win over Plastic Free Seas City Sparkle and are second in the league behind Natixis HKFC Ice, who secured a 17-10 win over Transact24 Tai Po Dragons.
This means the Premiership A will also only be settled in the final round of matches with Ice on 22 points battling Causeway Bay on 18 points.
Men’s Saxo Capital Markets Premiership
The HK men’s Premiership has already been settled with Natixis HKFC claiming their first Minors title since 2011 with a convincing 39-22 win over USRC Borrelli Walsh Tigers. Although the top spot is secured, the battle between the remaining 3 places for the playoffs remains hotly contested and HKRFU Premiership will be finalized on the weekend.
