Hong Kong Jockey Club Sevens Community Programmes 2024
Rugby For Good Hong Kong is hosting the “Jockey Club Sevens Community Programmes 2024” from 16-17 March 2024.
With support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) as the Official Community Partner of Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, two key events of the Jockey Club Community Programmes have been integrated – Jockey Club Sport for All Carnival and Jockey Club Elite Athletes Sharing Session: No Boundaries for Sports.
The events have a focus on supporting under-represented youth, and the weekend is an opportunity to “experience the joy of sport, under-represented youth in Hong Kong will be equipped with essential skills, confidence, resilience, leadership, and inclusivity to better cope with the challenges of daily life.”
Six sports experiential booths will be held, including rugby, football, cycling, rope skipping, bouldering, and skateboarding – 10 elite athletes will discuss the spirit of inclusive sportsmanship, proving sports are available to everyone.
From a rugby perspective, Ms Melody Li, the Hong Kong National Sevens Captain and Mr Salom Yiu (Asia Game Gold Medalist) & Mr Wesley Ng, Representative from the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens will be presenting talks.
In line with the “learning through play” approach, participants can acquire skills essential for their personal growth and success.

HKSI Open Day 2024
As part of the Jockey Club Sports PLUS Elite Athletes Community Programme, for the first time since the pandemic, the HKSI (Hong Kong Sports Institute) will host Open Day’s from 16-17
March 2024.
The first day is open to invited schools and organisations while 17 March is open to the public, with opportunities to learn more about local elite sports and the work of the HKSI. There will also be an opportunity to try a wide range of sports activities, guided tours and mini-games.
