Hong Kong Deaf Rugby 7s tournament 2019

HK Deaf Rugby has announced a small Sevens rugby tournament to take place on 31st July 2019 in Hong Kong.

In a post on the Facebook page, it appears as if the Japanese deaf rugby team and the New Zealand deaf players will be involved in the friendly rugby tournament.

The Hong Kong Rugby Union Community Foundation says it “helps deaf athletes build self-confidence, friendships, bonds, communication skills and responsibility. Rugby gives them the opportunity to prove to themselves and other people that deafness cannot prevent them from achieving their goals.”

According to World Deaf Rugby, only Hong Kong, Japan and Mongolia have memberships listed in Asia.
