HK New Year’s Day Youth Rugby Tournament 2020

The Hong Kong New Year’s Day Youth Rugby Tournament 2020 has confirmed the schedule for January 1st at the HKFC Ground.

The popular rugby tournament has been in existence since the 1960s and is organised by the Hong Kong Rugby Union.

As we have previously reported, the traditional rugby tournament includes youth age groups for U12, U14, U16, U19 Boys and Girls, however, it appears there will be no Under 12s in the 2020 edition.

• 10:30 Under 14 Girls: Peninsula Dragons vs Island Lions
• 11:30 Under 14 Boys: Peninsula Dragons vs Island Lions
• 12:35 Under 16 Girls: Peninsula Dragons vs Island Lions
• 13:50 Under 16 Boys: Hong Kong Dragons vs Overseas Lions
• 15:05 Under 19 Girls: Hong Kong Dragons vs Overseas Lions
• 16:30 Under 19 Boys: Hong Kong Dragons vs Overseas Lions
• 17.45 Best and Fairest Award

The teams are formed by local (Hong Kong Dragons) and overseas (Overseas Lions) players.

The games are free to attend for fans wanting to catch some rugby on the 1st day of the new year.

There are a number of team and individual trophies up for grabs at the one-day rugby tournament in Hong Kong.
