Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival – Singapore 2025
The popular Golden Oldies Rugby Festival heads to Singapore for the 2025 edition, with the tournament due to take place from 6-13 April and it will be the first time it will be staged in Southeast Asia.
This will be the 24th edition of the Golden Oldies Rugby, and teams from Argentina, the USA, Australia and New Zealand are already confirmed – we hope more teams from Asia will be entering!
The timing is usually the same time as the popular Songkran festival which is a major holiday in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar and this is the first time the week-long ruyby event (3 playing days & 3 functions) will be held in Southeast Asia.
Golden Oldies was first held in 1979 and the rugby tournament “has become a worldwide phenomenon on the rugby social calendar” said the organisers. Some of the previous festivals have been held in Cape Town, London, Toulouse, Christchurch and Long Beach, USA.
