Global Rapid Rugby: South China Tigers unveiled

With all of the recent announcements regarding the 2019 Showcase Series for Global Rapid Rugby, the South China Tigers held a press conference today to officially unveil the team logo, colours, and marquee players.

FWD South China Tigers: Hong Kong

The FWD South China Tigers will be based in Hong Kong and are one of two teams to be based in Asia for the GRR in 2019, with the Asia Pacific Dragons being based in Singapore. FWD Hong Kong & Macau is the principal sponsor but WWF Hong Kong is also partnering with the team. As AsiaRugby247 reported recently, the full schedule for the Global Rapid Rugby Showcase Series 2019 and teams have now been released.

Marquee rugby players: FWD South China Tigers

Four international marquee players were unveiled at the press conference:

• Tom Varndell
• Sami Viriviri
• Ma Chong
• Liu Jun-kui

The team also confirmed that tickets for the games in 2019 will be available before the end of the week.
