Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2025 Ticket Dates Confirmed
The Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2025 will have an exclusive ticketing pre-sale which will begin 24 hours before the public ticket sale on Tuesday 5th November 2024.

The Sevens will take place in Hong Kong from 28-30 March 2025 at the new Kai Tak Sports Park for the first time.
The organisers said, “Register for early access to the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens exclusive ticketing Pre-Sale, beginning at 10 am Monday, November 4th, 24 hours before the public ticket sale at 10 am, Tuesday, November 5th.”
The iconic Sevens tournament will be the 5th leg of the second revamped HSBC SVNS Series 2024-2025 which will once again kick off with one of the Asian legs in Dubai from the final weekend of November 2024.
Chairman of Hong Kong China Rugby, Mr Chris Brooke said, “Having recently announced that the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens will be held at the Kai Tak Sports Park in 2025, Hong Kong China Rugby is very pleased to be launching public ticket sales relating to the event. We hope that our fans will share our excitement regarding the additional experiences which will be available at the new venue.
Our objective is to ensure that we retain the best of the Sevens traditions which have evolved over the years, whilst at the same time offering an opportunity for fans to create new memories and enjoy the benefits associated with an expanded and more modern venue.”
- The Kai Tak Stadium is also one of the few venues globally designed specifically for rugby and features 20 changing rooms to accommodate the needs of the multiple teams, referees and other personnel as well as dedicated dining and rest areas for players.
- The renowned ‘South Stand’ will be fully upgraded at the Kai Tak Stadium.
- It features one of the largest sports bars in Asia with the longest bar top – a 100-metre terrace deck inside the stadium that is open to all ticket holders and promises an even bigger party throughout the weekend.
For The Fans – Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2025
The Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2025 will feature a revolutionary new fan experience, including two new hospitality areas – the South Stand SuperPass and the Captain’s Lounge.
South Stand SuperPass
True South Standers visiting Kai Tak will be delighted to know that rugby sevens’ most famous seating area will once again be ready and waiting for them. Kai Tak has reinvented the famed 18-and-older section from the Hong Kong Stadium. Those wanting to beat the queue can upgrade their Sevens experience with a South Stand SuperPass which includes entry into the Carlsberg Clubhouse and the South Deck (from an additional HK$750 per day).
This General Admission ticket upgrade ensures admission to the South Stand and includes a free-flow drinks package, as well as access to the Clubhouse and Deck, which are situated on either corner of the South Terrace.
Captain’s Lounge
Captain’s Lounge tickets (HK$17,950) offer 3-day access to a 5-star business class lounge with free-flow drinks, gourmet buffet dining, butler service, reserved seating in-stadium, and meet and greet opportunities with a variety of Hong Kong Sevens legends and official ambassadors.
HSBC SVNS 2024-2025
Once again the world’s top 12 women’s and men’s teams will be in action. The top eight placed teams, based on cumulative series points at the conclusion of the final SVNS event, will secure their opportunity to compete in a ‘winner takes all’ Grand Final where the women’s and men’s SVNS champions will be crowned.
The relegation play-off competition will also take place where teams ranked ninth to 12th in the SVNS will join the top four teams from the World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series. The top four-placed teams of this play-off will secure their place on next year’s SVNS (2026).
From Asia, both the Japanese and Chinese women’s Sevens teams are involved.
Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2025 Tickets
The Sevens’ general admission seating policy will remain in force, with tickets in all non-corporate or non-tournament seating areas inside the stadium being open on a first come, first served basis over the event weekend.
All tickets will be sold on a first-come, first served basis, and while supplies last.

- General admission 3-day passes cost HK$1950 (the same ticket prices at 2019 levels!)
- Single-day tickets will be available on the 5th of November 2024 via an exclusive partnership with Klook priced at HK$500 (Adult Friday), HK$1,200 (Adult Saturday) and HK$1,200 (Adult Sunday).
- There are children’s tickets available for kids 12 and under, but a limited number and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Children 2 and under do not require a ticket.
In the leadup to the Sevens, the 2025 Tradition HKFC 10s has been confirmed to be played on Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th of March, while the Kowloon RugbyFest 2025 is scheduled to take place on the 27th of March 2025 at Kings Park.
The Hong Kong China Men’s and Women’s 7s will feature again in the Melrose Claymores competitions, with the invitational teams to be confirmed.
