Bangkok 10s 2023 Confirms Tournament Divisions Open For Entries

The Bangkok 10s 2023 organisers have confirmed the tournament will once again feature a number of contact and mixed touch rugby divisions when it takes place at the Patana School in Bangkok from 25-26 February 2023.

Eddie Evans, the former Canadian international player and founder/organiser said the initial interest has been overwhelming and it is going to be a sell-out.

The tournament was cancelled for the past two years due to the pandemic.

Bangkok Tens 2023 Tournament Divisions 

The popular social tens rugby tournament is set to include a number of women’s, men’s, vets, and youth rugby as well as mixed touch rugby. Although the tournament is listed as 24-26 Feb 2023, matches are scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday only.

The entry fees are USD $900 for Men’s and Vets & Old Boys Classic, $550 for Women and Youth, and $250 per Touch Team.

The standard Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield format will be used in the competition.

• Open Men’s comp – 24 teams 
• Vets division (Over 35 years old) – 8 teams 
• Classics division (Over 45 years old) –  8 teams 
• Ladies contact – 8 teams
• Social touch rugby – 12 teams
• Youth Section tournament – limited to 6 teams per age group (9,11, 13, 15, 17 and 19)*
• *(Final age groups to be determined based on interest)

The note from the organisers sent out this week adds: “With the Bangkok 10’s there is always a very heavy emphasis on the social side of things and making sure everyone enjoys an awesome Rugby trip to Thailand – On and off the pitch! This will definitely be the best Rugby tour of your life.”

Charity Partner – Nak Suu Rugby Academy

The Bangkok International Tens will once again donate “100% of all proceeds towards funding our local Nak Suu Rugby Academy that helps disadvantaged children in local slum communities here in Bangkok.”
