Asian social rugby tens tournaments 2020 dates confirmed

Social rugby tournaments in Asia are already announcing dates for 2020 with Hanoi Tens, Vientiane 10s and Bangkok International Tens all confirming their events.

DHL Hanoi 10s Rugby Championship 2020

The second Hanoi 10s rugby championship has been confirmed. The 2019 edition saw a small but eager group of rugby teams (men and women) compete and assist with the growing rugby development in Vietnam. The organisers said vai their Facebook page:

We’re excited to announce the official dates for the 2020 Hanoi 10s! After a successful first year, this year we hope to welcome more teams to Hanoi and continue to grow the sport of rugby in Vietnam! Make sure you put the date in your calendars and email info@hanoi10s.com for more information!

Vientiane 10s Rugby Championship 2020

Lao Rugby has at the same time confirmed the Vientiane 10s Rugby Championship 2020 via their Facebook page.

This will be the 13th edition of the tournament and the LRF said “we’re excited to welcome back returning teams and hope to see some new faces”. In 2019 a number of Laos teams took part as well as regional and international rugby teams.

Vientiane 10s Rugby Championship 2020 dates

• Date: January 25-26th 2020
• Venue: Vientiane, Laos

Bangkok International Tens 2020

The Bangkok International 10s have fixed their dates as February 29th-March 1st 2020. The tournament invitations will be sent out shortly according to the organisers. With Mens, Womens, Vets and youth contact taking part over the two-day rugby tournament, as well as touch rugby, the Bangkok Tens is a very popular rugby festival in Southeast Asia.

Over recent years, elite level teams like the Singapore Barbarians, Nak Suu Warriors and Jam Boys have contested the Cup Final. The 2o19 edition had rugby teams fly in from around the globe.

This will be the 14th edition of the Bangkok International Tens.
