Sebastian Brien – Hong Kong China 7s & XVs
28-year-old Sebastian Brien is a five-star Asian rugby player representing Hong Kong China Sevens and XVs. The talented right-wing rugby player recently recorded five tries in Hong Kong’s match in the Asia Rugby Men’s Championship, helping the team demolish Malaysia 88-9, and was in the team that beat South Korea to claim thr 2023 Championship.

Gregor Mcneish – Hong Kong China
Gregor McNeish is a talented Asian rugby player representing Hong Kong, China. While growing up, McNeish always dreamt of becoming an international player and he managed to achieve that with Hong Kong China over recent years acter he qualified to play for the Hong Kong rugby team through residency grounds after moving there in 2016.
Gregor’s rugby journey started with the local team Dunfermline at the age of seven, and some of his career highlights include the 2011/2012 season after defeating Musselburgh to win the National Shield. He currently plays with VPC Andorra in Spain.
McNeish has managed to play in major rugby tournaments including the Hong Kong 10s and other tournaments in Vietnam and Malaysia but he was a key member of the national XVs team which has won 4 titles in a row in the Asia Rugby Men’s Championship – including some impeccable kicking for points and tactically in the 2023 championship (contributing 18 points with the boot against Malaysia). He has also featured in RWC 2023 playoffs vs Tonga and the RWC 2023 Repechage tournament.
Kimin Kim – South Korea
South Korea is one of the top-ranked national men’s teams in sevens and fifteen rugby in Asia and Kimin Kim is among their top players who plays his club rugby with KEPCO in the domestic league. The skilled rugby sevens player made a name for himself during the 2020 Summer Olympics and has continued helping the team battle it out in the XVs game in 2023 during the ARMC.
Kimin Kim, a flyhalf in the XVs game, helped South Korea beat Malaysia 27-3 during their opening game at the 2023 Asia Rugby Championship and scored a crucial try during the 28th minute to give Korealead. His cohesive teamwork during the game also helped his team emerge victorious.
He was also the starting flyhalf in the loss to Hong Kong China in the final match which they lost but he will be part of the national team’s sevens plans as they head to the Asia Rugby Sevens Championship 2023 and Asian Games.
Mohd Fairuz AB Rahman – Malaysia
Mohd Fairuz AB Rahman is a well-known and respected figure in the Malaysian rugby scene and a long-standing utility back in the XVs team who has played Flyhalf, Fullback, and Scrumhalf. He has represented Malaysia in age group competitions since 2001 and made the senior squad in 2007.
The veteran rugby player is known for putting Malaysia on the scoresheet whenever he’s playing, even when the final results might not be in the team’s favour as was the case in this year’s ARMC 2023. Fairuz put Malaysia on the scoreboard during their 2023 Asian Championship matches against South Korea, and Hong Kong China although his team lost.
Fairuz was part of the Malaysian rugby team that earned promotion from Division One back in 2017 and he remains an invaluable member of Malaysia’s team to date even as he approaches 40 years young!
Alex Post – Hong Kong China
Alex Post is one of the most talented hookers in the region and a starter for Hong Kong’s national XVs rugby team. The 27-year-old Richmond club player is a highly driven and result-focused player (admittedly a stats man) and his perseverance has seen him earn international caps for Hong Kong. This was highlighted with a hat trick of tries against South Korea in the final of the Asia Rugby Men’s Championship 2023.
