Asia Rugby Sevens Series 2019 Round 2
The top-level Asia Rugby Sevens Series moves to China for round 2 of the three-event series. Japan won the men’s and women’s first-round in Korea and will be favourites again in China this weekend.
Asia Rugby Sevens Series – Men
Japan took out the top spot in Korea and lead the 7s Series table. Hong Kong did push them in the final but have a big task to overhaul the Japanese. The Chinese at home will also be keen to improve on their 4th place finish in round 1, losing to Korea in the 3rd place playoff.
Elsewhere UAE and Chinese Taipei will want to improve on their 7th and 8th place finishes to stay in the main 7s Series in 2020.

Asia Rugby Women’s Sevens Series
The Asia Rugby Women’s Sevens Series second round will see all nations trying to topple Japan from their perch. The Japanese ladies sit on top after winning in Korea, comfortably, and also head into China with a two-year unbeaten run say ScrumQueens.
China and Hong Kong should be the main contenders to Japan. China edged out HK in their semi-final in Korea before the Chinse fell to Japan 19-5 in the final.
Malaysia and Singapore finished 7th and 8th respectively and will need to improve to keep their top-level status alive.
