Asia Rugby Championship 2019
ARMC
Hong Kong successfully completed its clean sweep of the Asia Rugby Men’s Championship (ARMC) for a 2nd year, albeit again in the absence of Japan. HK comfortably beat Korea 64 – 3 at home and only needed a single Championship point in the game to win the title but romped to a bonus point victory to finish on top of Korea and Malaysia.
HK captain Liam Slatem told Asia Rugby “We are ecstatic, we said before we started we wanted to go back-to-back, so we are really happy. We put in a lot of hard work over the past six weeks and happy it paid off. We’ll keep growing as a group, we have our full-time programme now that will continue. We then go into club season, we’ll come together around November and hopefully play in a couple of internationals.”
