Asia Rugby Results: 13-14 July 2019
Another busy weekend of rugby in Asia with XVs, 7s and tens tournaments happening. Meanwhile, national teams were in action in Australia (Japan) and in Brazil for the World U20s (Hong Kong and Japan). We review all the Asian rugby results from the weekend of 13-14 July 2019.
Japan ladies vs Wallaroos Test #1
Japan went down to the Australian Wallaroos 5-34 on Saturday in Newcastle in the first match of the two test series. The second game takes place on Friday 19th July 2019 at the North Sydney Oval, Sydney.
World Rugby Under 20 Trophy
Both Japan and Hong Kong are representing Asia in the Under 20 Trophy in Brazil. Japan has recorded two wins from two so far while Hong Kong has lost both of its games, including a heavy defeat to Tonga on the weekend. Both teams have one more group game left coming up this week.

MBPJ–KRS Ladies Sevens 2019
There were two sections in the ladies Sevens tournament in Malaysia. The national teams or development squads from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Lao were involved in invitational training matches as well as local teams competing for the Ladies 7s Open Division.

Cebu Ladies 10s
The Hong Kong Rugby Football Club (HKFC) – Pass it to Aileen won the Cup in Cebu, beating out the home team Cenu Ladies in the final. The other ladies rugby teams who competed were the Makati Lady Chiefs, Davao Lady Durians, SKF Lady Mavericks and Singapore – NTU.

Perlis Royal 7s
The Perlis Royal 7s in Malaysia (a busy weekend in the country!) saw the ABI Jitra Old Boys win the Cup final against Polis Bersatu (PDRM) 12-5. The under 20s was won by Negeri Sembilan who were victorious over Sarawak 22-14 in their final.

Centenary Cup – Kolkata, India
The Jungle Crows Men & Women won the Centenary Cups over the weekend. The men beat Kolkata Police 34-19 while the ladies had a 26-5 victory over CCFC.
