2024 Magellan Cup – Philippines Select XV vs Guam Preview

The 2024 Magellan Cup takes place on Saturday 9th November with the Philippine Volcanoes Select XV playing a Guam Men’s XV in an international friendly.
The match is played at the Alabang Country Club, Muntinlupa City and the PRFU said, “Experience a day of rugby action with youth exhibition games, halftime fun, and a special women’s curtain-raiser. Plus, meet players from the Volcanoes’ historic first test match in 2006 against Guam!”
There will also be a youth exhibition game, halftime entertainment, and a special women’s curtain-raiser organised by the Philippine Rugby Football Union. Special guests will also join the event including former Volcanoes players from the historic first test match against Guam back in 2006.
Match Officials – Magellan Cup 2024
Rowan Turner of the Hong Kong Rugby Referees Society is the match referee, while Alex Menard of Philippine Rugby and Billy Chenneaux of Guam Rugby as assistant referees. Jheewel Idea will manage the Technical Zone.
Philippine Rugby has named the team for the Magellan Cup 2024, saying that the players were chosen following a week’s training camp led by Coach Josh Torres Sutcliffe.
