2023 U19 Asia Rugby Men’s Championship
The 2023 U19 Men’s Asia Rugby Championship will be taking place in Hong Kong this season, with the opening match taking place on Friday 8th December between the hosts and Chinese Taipei, and South Korea is the third team involved.

Hong Kong China Rugby are the defending champions after winning in 2022 in Malaysia which also earned the team the right to represent Asia at the World Rugby U20 Trophy in Kenya this year.
The same honour is on the line for this AR U19 2023 championship, with the winners heading to the 2024 World Rugby U20 Trophy.
With three teams involved, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong China and South Korea will feature in a round-robin of XV matches taking place on the 8th, 12th and 16th December.
AR U19s Men Championship
Hong Kong China Rugby U19
Hong Kong China are undoubtedly the favourites at home as they chase their eighth consecutive championship!
Joe Barker is in charge of the HKCR U19 Men’s side and this week said; “The boys are excited to get going and they can’t wait to represent Hong Kong China in the two upcoming test matches. The pride they have for HKCR is evident, and it’s a fantastic privilege for them to play at home in front of their family and friends”.
South Korea U19 Men
The South Koreans didn’t participate due to a dispute about some of the player’s ages and will be out to claim a stake in the World Rugby U20 Trophy.
Rugby Asie is reporting that among the squad is one semi-professional player – scrum-half Park Jin Seong who has signed a semi-professional contract with the the KEPCO South Korean rugby club.
