2019 World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge
The 2019 World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge will be played during the Rugby World Cup in Japan. The Challenge will be contested in Tokyo with 8 nations being represented.
World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge
The World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge will be played at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium from the 16-20 October while the Rugby World Cup 2019 is running.
The Japanese Para-Sports Association (JPSA) and Japan Wheelchair Rugby Federation (JWRF) have organised the tournament. Eight of the worlds top ten ranked nations will be competing at the World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge, but Japan will be the only Asian representation. The International Wheelchair Rugby Federation has also sanctioned the Challenge.
Japan has already qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 as hosts but also after winning the 2018 World Championships in Sydney.

The 8 wheelchair rugby nations set to compete in the Challenge are split into two pools.
