2019 Globe 7s Open Series: Finals
The second festival of the 2019 Globe 7s Open Series took place in the Philipines over the weekend and the men’s and women’s teams will square off in the final festival on October 19th.
With the venue yet to be confirmed for the finale, the draw for the teams will be announced soon. Here are the standings after the first two rounds.
Men’s Open Division
The Eagles RFC and Clark Jets head into the final round on top of the table, both on 41 points. SKF Mavericks sit in 3rd while the Manila Nomads occupy 4th.

Women’s Open Division
The four ladies teams and tightly bunched with the SKF Mavericks in 1st place and followed closely by the HMR Lady Eagles and Makati Lady Chiefs. The Manila Nomads Rogues are last in 4th but will look to climb the ladder at the final tournament.

2020 JML 15s rugby season
The Philippines 2020 XVs season has also been announced by the Philippines Rugby Football Union. There will be four divisions in 2020.
- National Development Division: Open to all players of Philippine heritage only (requires 1x Filipino
parent or grandparent). - Open Division: Open to all players
- Women’s Division
- Colts Division: Open to U19 payers only (born between 2001 – 2003).
The Rugby World Cup 2019 is, of course, being played in Japan and the Asia Sevens Series will have its 3rd and final round this month too.
